Natalie Tweed – Advanced clinical practice physiotherapist, founder and clinical director of Home Grown Independence.

Natalie qualified in 2010 as a physiotherapist and recently achieved a Masters with distinction in advanced clinical practice in 2021. She has over 12 years’ experience working within the NHS specialised in community elderly rehabilitation, falls prevention and urgent adult care.

Natalie is currently working as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner Physiotherapist within the NHS providing urgent medical and therapy assessments within the community to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions. As part of her role, she is a non-medical prescriber and able to prescribe for multiple acute conditions.

Natalie created Home Grown Independence as she is passionate about supporting individuals build and maintain physical fitness, strength, balance and confidence. Allowing individuals to ensure they remain safe and independent within their own home.

Setting up Home Grown Independence has been a dream of Natalie’s since she qualified as a physiotherapist as her vision is to focus on prevention of disability, injury and dependency.

Natalie brings her knowledge, experience and skills to Home Grown Independence to apply a holistic approach to all assessments and treatments.
